Our Vision Statement

We believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

We believe Bible-centered teaching and preaching is at the foundation of our spiritual growth.

We believe prayer is vital in keeping our relationship with God prosperous.

We believe love is an abundant gift from God to be shared with all.

We believe that spiritual growth is the fruit born of the seeds of faith, prayer, study, and outreach.

We believe ALL human beings are children of God – and we accept them in this fellowship with Christ our Savior.

             Jesus answered. I am the way, and the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me.  John 14:6

Our Mission Statement

Make Jesus Christ number one in our lives.

One with Christ, one with each other, one in ministry to all the world.

2012 LENTEN SERMON SERIES

You may recall that last year during the Lenten season our Sunday sermons explored the final 24 hours of Jesus’ life on earth. Pastor Heather offered those insightful Lenten messages based on Pastor Adam Hamilton’s book entitled 24 Hours that Changed the World.

This year during the Lenten season, she will once again be using a book by Adam Hamilton to guide our sermons. This year we will be exploring the final statements spoken by Jesus as he hung on the cross. These Lenten sermons will be based on Adam’s more recent book entitled Final Words from the Cross.

In life and in death, Jesus’ words were powerful and meaningful. Despite the serious effort and increased pain required for Jesus to speak as he hung on the cross, Jesus spoke seven “final words”—statements that have much to teach us about Jesus, his Father, and ourselves:

Each sermon will consider Jesus’ final words as heard through the ears of those who stood near the foot of the cross. We will also explore the meaning of Jesus’ dying words for our lives today.

We hope you will make plans to be present in worship for each Sunday of Lent:

1st Sunday of Lent February 26th “ Father Forgive Them”

2nd Sunday of Lent March 4th “ Behold your Son … Behold Your Mother”

3rd Sunday of Lent March 11th “ My God, Why Have You Forsaken me?”

4th Sunday of Lent March 18th “ Today You Will Be With Me in Paradise

5th Sunday of Lent March 25th “ I Thirst”

Palm Sunday April 1st Into Your Hands I Commit My Spirit”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our church will be offering weekly opportunities for parishioners to take Holy Communion throughout the season of Lent which begins on Ash Wednesday (February 22nd) and runs through Holy Saturday (April 7th).  Immediately following worship each Sunday of Lent, you are invited to come to the altar of the Lord and receive the meal that nourishes your soul.  Each gathering will only last about 15 minutes, but it will offer you an invaluable opportunity to connect with your Savior during this holiest of seasons.
Sunday Morning After Worship Communion Available On:  Feb. 26, Mar. 4, Mar. 11, Mar. 18,
        Mar. 25, and April 1.
